STEP 1 - Science Speaker Gordon D'arcy

As part of the Discover Primary Science and Maths Programme we invited Gordon D'arcy to our school. He was with us for two days over the course of which all classes enjoyed learning about local wildlife, habitats and flora and fauna. Gordon did beautiful step by step drawings with all classes, it was a great fun and we have lots of great pictures from children at the end of it, we have very talented artists in Scoil Mhuire!

STEP 1 SCIENCE WEEK

This year for Science week we had the KN'ex Roadshow visit our school. Sean Cullen who works with the Galway Science and Technology Festival was our facilitator for the day. Children worked in pairs in our hall, it was great fun working together and trying to follow all the instructions!
It was an enjoyable and educational experience for us all!
